Ellie

Ellie was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed last February. It was exciting to see her and here again after such a beautiful day. Ellie had a sweet spot for my camera meaning my camera loved her and the way she almost just stared back into the lens with an openness and reality. You could just tell what a strong and supportive family she has behind her. I just really appreciated her excitement. Her session was beautiful and magical. She had wanted it to snow for the session so she was super excited to wake up and the find the snow. After her first session day was cancelled it was great to find a day that was so ideal and magical for her.

Briana

Briana is a hockey playing girl, but totally a sweetheart. I loved her sweetness with her super supportive mom. Watching her mom make her laugh and smile was just so amazing. She loves hockey and Canada so the snowy day was the perfect background for her jersey! She seemed to find a different part of herself during the session and that was super exciting for to see that she could express herself. She gave me a mix CD as a thanks for the session at the end which I was just floored and excited about. Briana was exactly what I needed that day. It was freezing and snowy, and then there was a little ray of sunshine of Briana in the middle of a session day.

Alaina

Alaina is a theater girl. She played Belle in SPA (School of the Performing Arts) performance of the musical “Beauty and the Beast”. She also recently had the leading role in the Illinois All-State Musical production of “Into the Woods”. She’s really making it happen as she is preparing to go into acting; Alaina is getting headshots, having discussions with her parents, and making sure she’s taking certain classes. She is truly her momma’s daughter when it comes to preparing for a fabulous future in theater. It was a joy to see her again after not seeing her for a year, and I was excited to be a part of making her dream come true.
