I know that word gallivanting might be an unusual word but for me it’s very familiar. My mom used it all the time when referring to friendship, fun or even shopping. The exact definition is “to go around from one place to another in the pursuit of pleasure or entertainment”. To me, that’s a neat way to describe our session, mainly because Kelsey brought her mom and her best friend, and the three of them enjoyed themselves gallivanting around Naperville. I know that they got pictures together, stopped in a couple shops, and, after our shoot, were debating about where to go for lunch! I love it when the whole Molly Grace experience brings people together and provides a great opportunity for fun!

Mia had the most amazing session. Was it the light? Was it her outfits that sparkled? Perhaps, but it was more… her shoot was so fantastic because she was so herself and so comfortable. How did she get this way? Was it me? Was it her? Was it our connection? Mia is a super talented girl who was raised by great parents who think the world of her. I have to say that after I learned of her acting work and, in particular, that she played Addy for the American girl shows in Chicago, I had to run to my sisters house and tell my nieces as they are huge American Girl fans. That’s is very cool! But what stuck me about Mia most when I found that out was how she calmly and comfortably came to the conclusion that it would time to end such a gig and instead be a regular high schooler. Mia is incredibly in tone with herself; she is very comfortable, secure and happy, thus her photos are exactly that. It made her free to be herself, free to express and free to be beautiful!

As soon as we met Danielle we knew she was cool because she chose outfits that featured her instead of her featuring the outfits! Danielle shows off her artistic side, with her love of photography. It was so cute to see that she brought an article about herself that had been written in the school paper. She has such a good sense of humor, and I can tell she’s just an all around great person!

I’d be so honored!
I met Marielle when I was photographing Dance Storm a couple years back. It was so nice to have her book a session so I could see her and all the awesome things she has been up to! She still does dancing, and is about to major in accounting, what a practical girl! We got some really great pics and Marielle loved them. She’s such an adorable and smart young lady!

I’ve known Sophie since she was a little girl! I met her mom and three sisters (just like me!) while I was waiting tables at Front Street years ago so it has been really fun to see the family grow since then! The shoot felt natural and effortless and I loved having the chance to hang out with Sophie! She’s always asking tons of questions and she’s so interested in my photography, so I wanted to do a really great job! We got the chance to shoot in Downtown Wheaton, Sophie’s hometown (mine too) and we got some cool shots at Adams Park! Sophie is such a sweet girl, I’m so happy I got the chance to see her again!
