Carmen had been waiting a while to have her pictures done by me… simply since it had a been a few years since her sister was here, and ever since then I know she couldn’t wait for the day ’til she got to come out with me for a shoot. I loved her pretty in pink prom dress… it was so gorgeous and it looked amazing with the lush green of the grass and trees around us.  That rain… and all our shoots canceled because of it paid off… cause it was beautiful!

Jack… I felt reminded me of JFK Jr. and then later I felt like I saw James Franco in him. I loved hanging out with Jack during his session, hearing about his sports, gymnastic’s, wrestling, and football and then also hearing about his favorite books and why he loves them. I’m super impressed by his depth and his appreciation of character in people. At the viewing I loved seeing his special bond with his dad, and their similar style and the way they were so defiant about the photos and which they loved and the ones they didn’t prefer. I loved it! Clearly I love looking at family structures at this stage of the game, since we’re expecting our first little one soon, and it’s so fun to see families that are close and seem to have a lot of fun together.

Amaris is gorgeous…and hot in her high heels for sure. I loved hearing about her culture… I asked about food, family, friends and customs and it was so fun to hear about everything. For those of you who don’t know I was born in Texas and San Antonio will always be close to my heart… so I love hear about latino culture. Amaris, had a beautiful shoot, she is such a fun loving girl and an ultimate fan of her beloved basketball team the Bulls.

I met Abbey years ago and even photographed her when she was a little girl… way way back when I was a newbie photographer. I had gotten to know her mom through my job at Starbucks. Mary was a one of my favorite “regulars” who came in for iced tea. So I can’t tell you how fun it was to see Abbey this fall while filming our Molly Grace Photography video, and then it was ever so fun to schedule her Senior Pic’s and get to spend time with her. Abbey is taking off a year between high school and college and headed to Africa… I feel like I can totally picture her there…especially in that beautiful orange skirt. Can’t you? This lovely lady is certainly going somewhere, and I am excited for her.

Olivia had the honor of performing the role of Cosette in her schools performance of Les Miserable this year, that is definitely a cherished memories, but truthfully how can you just pick one great memory after 4 years. High school goes so fast and Olivia feel’s like jumping in and loving the little moments in between the big ones is what it is all about. Soon high school will be behind her, and then what will be awaiting her… Elon University… life as a independent educated girl… yes the world is in front of her… soak it up.

Miss. Jessica is sweet, intelligent and funny… boy can she pull off that lipstick, don’t you all agree?! This girl is truly a girl next door, with a kick-butt work ethic which paid off. She was inducted into National Honor Society! She is also a loyal friend…you can tell this in the way she describes her friends. The lessons this girl has learned will take her through college and beyond. Maybe she’ll kick back a little and have some fun, too.

Carter is a leader in her school, you can just tell. Her viberance and joy are contagious!  But seriously this girl is so well rounded, she’s a violin player, an assistant at a hair salon, a great tennis player, and she is headed to South Africa this summer to do some missions work. She clearly is capable of becoming anything she wants to be in life… nursing, and graduate school…here she comes!

Nicki and her mom Kate, kept me laughing at her session. I just love (especially now) seeing moms and daughters and their relationships. Nicki and I have many things in common… #1 we both went to camp, the camper bond -even if you went to different camps- is a real one. #2 Nicki, just like me in high school, got a guitar and still hasn’t learned how to play it. I eventually gave mine away but Nicki still has time to master it. #3 Nicki is headed south for school just as I did. Nicki, was so fun to photograph, I look forward to hearing about her new life at Clemson!

Sarah was a joy to photograph…she reminded me of her sister Rebecca but at the same time, Sarah has her own look and is incredibly different with unique talents and gifts. Sarah is an extraordinarily talented and gifted basket ball player – such a gift you can tell has brought lots of pride and joy to her parents. I know they are so happy to hear she’ll be staying close by and attending Wheaton College in the fall, which is especially exciting so that they can still cheer her on at games. Go Sarah!!! Not only in basket ball, but in life! We know you’ll do great!

Tom is headed for the military following graduation… he has a hot long summer ahead of him at boot camp but I’m pretty sure he’ll be fine. I loved hanging out with Tom and seeing him in front of the camera, at first he was perhaps a little shocked to be in front of the camera, but then he quickly eased up and relaxed. I loved seeing his relationship with his mom on the shoot and at the viewing, she will surely miss him.
